About CDMC
CDMC is a comprehensive framework of Data Management best practices in cloud, multi-cloud, and hybrid-cloud environments. CDMC provides organizations the ability to assess their current state cloud data management capabilities and identify gaps for remediation. CDMC also enables cloud service and technology providers to audit and certify their products and services targeting key controls and automations for the protection of sensitive data in cloud environments
The CDMC Framework Course
This instructor-led, live, interactive virtual course (delivered over two 6 hour sessions) provides a comprehensive perspective on capabilities needed to manage data in cloud, multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
The background to the global industry initiative that created CDMC is explained, along with the benefits to the different types of organization that can reference and use the framework. The course covers both the perspective of the data practitioner as well as guidance to technology providers, The curriculum is organized into six core components covering 37 essential cloud data management capabilities and 14 key controls:

- Cataloging and Classification
- Access & Usage
- Protection & Privacy
- Data Lifecycle
- Data & Technical Architecture
Different use cases for the framework are presented, including its use in assessments and certification.
Completion of this training and passing the exam provides the student with advanced CDMC V1 Certification.

There are no prerequisites for attending this training, and no pre-reading required to participate. Full documentation will be provided to all students. A digital badge of Certification will be issued once the exam has been passed.

Cancellation and Changes
Cancellations received 2 weeks or more before the start of the course will be entitled to full refund. Cancellations received under two weeks before the start of the course will be given a credit for the next occurrence of the course. The credit may be transferred within the company. The EDM Council reserves the right to cancel any class due to unforeseen circumstances. In this event a full refund will be offered or the seat can be transferred to another course.
